A niche company producing fresh and smoked natural meat products (pork, turkey, chicken, beef sausage and hams) for distribution to major retail firms.
Great location, small family town.....low taxes, no crime, good schools.
Experience: 5+ years of further processed meats.
MUST be proficient in difficult audits for SQF, BRC, Organic etc.
HACCP Plan Development and Implementation required.
Administer and maintain Certifications including Organic, GAP and Certified Humane.
Administer the Quality Assurance Module in the company ERP System.
Provide technical assistance in FSIS and FDA labeling application and regulatory compliance.
Responsible for administering Product Trace-ability, Product Recall, and Product Hold program and assigning final disposition(s) to hold product.
The client is looking for a person who is capable of doing product development and managing a staff of QA Technicians.
NOT interested in a policy writer or someone who is of a regulatory mentality or one that depends on inspection of product to meet quality objectives but someone able to assist in building quality into every pound of product.
R&D Experience and being able to complete QA audits are BIG pluses
PREVIOUS food industry experience REQUIRED.
